Laura Hamilton has disclosed that she was in a vehicle accident while shooting the new season of A Place in the Sun.
Since 2012, the property expert and TV host has featured on the program, assisting individuals in finding their ideal property on the international market.
She was most recently in Spain, where she was shooting for the next season, but things didn’t exactly go as planned.
‘The start of this week actually got off to a pretty s**ty start… unfortunately (and for the first time ever abroad) I had a car accident as I was on the way to our first property,’ she shared on social media.
‘Before anything is over dramatised, it was a minor incident and more importantly no one was hurt.
‘However, I still felt pretty rubbish…’
She explained that while life ‘isn’t always rosy, even if it seems so…’, she had to keep going.
‘I think it’s important in life to always focus on the positive and whilst I felt rubbish, I had to keep smiling,’ she wrote.
‘I had to ensure my house hunters had the best time with me and lots of fun whilst we looked for their dream holiday home.’
Laura, 40, also expressed her appreciation in the post, writing that she enjoyed being able to merge her passions for people, travel, and property hunting.
She stated that the hunt was not yet complete, but that it had been a “successful one so far, and we have certainly had a lot of laughs.”
‘Thank you as always to the team on the road and back in Blighty that make this all possible.’
Laura and her team were also in trouble on site in 2021 after getting trapped in mud.
They were struck by heavy rain while shooting in Abruzzo, Italy, and numerous cars had to be dragged out by tractors.
Laura later joked that the situation had been ‘dire,’ and that the shooting plan had been ‘wrecked’ for a week as a result of the delay.
