Later With Jools Holland is finally returning to the studio with a full audience for the first time in two years, and with a killer line-up.
The musician, 64, confirmed his show, somewhat of a musical institution, will be back to normal for the first since the pandemic with a new trailer on his Instagram.
‘I’m very excited that my tv show returns on BBC Two on Saturday nights from the 14th of May,’ he enthused in the caption.
‘The first time all the musical guests are in the same room as one another since lockdown. Wooooohoooo.
‘I will reveal more about lineup and new location soon. Until then, to give you a smell of it, here’s the full opening titles filmed in my layout.’
Well, shortly after his post the BBC went ahead and confirmed who will be joining Jools at the restored Alexandra Palace Theatre where the programme is filmed.
Fresh from landing a number one debut album, Wet Leg will be performing this coming Saturday as well as Cat Burns, Obongjayar and Joe Bonamassa.
The following weekend, Liam Gallagher, Oumou Sangaré, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul and Sinead O’Brien will perform their latest hits in the studio.
Liam recently teased his appearance on the show, tweeting: ‘Thankyou to jools Holland for the bottle of wine last night it’s a belter LG x.’
During the age of make-shift lockdown television, Later.. With Jools Holland returned with artists being interviewed over Zoom from their homes.
Eventually, this evolved to artists being able to perform from separate venues.
Later… With Jools Holland airs at 9.55pm on BBC One.
