You’d think that having a bunch of billionaires in the family would make Kris Jenner adept at being able to use a card machine but, as the latest episode of the Kardashians proves, this isn’t quite true.
Fresh off of Kendall Jenner’s cucumber-gate, the momager decided to have a ‘fun day out’ with daughter Kylie Jenner, turning their back on traditional outings like the beach or a nice restaurant to do ‘normal’ things.
Instead, they made a beeline for a supermarket, followed by a trip to the car wash.
As in, the things that us ‘normals’ do most days…
‘I just want to do normal things with you. I just think when I’m pregnant, I want to feel really normal,’ the Lip Kit queen told her mom during a casual car ride.
‘I want to go to the grocery stores and pick my own things. It’s good for our souls.’
‘I have not been to a grocery store in two years,’ Kris replied. ‘Why don’t we go? There’s the most amazing grocery store in Malibu.
‘I follow them online because I’m so obsessed.’
Off they went to a very swish-looking supermarket to have the time of their lives, with the matriarch declaring that ‘dreams do come true’.
They proved to be just like us, stocking their trolley full of cookie dough and tequila – of course, only Kendall’s 818 brand would suffice – and made it to the tills in one piece.
‘I just need the experience of checking out, I’ve waited for this for years,’ the businesswoman told her daughter.
The pair were practically giddy from the adrenaline rush of doing their own errands as they got their groceries bagged up and prepared to pay – before hitting a slight snag in their day out.
Kris whipped her card out like an apparent pro and slid it down the machine, before being told that she needed to insert it and instantly asking for help.
Thankfully, Kylie was on hand to show her the ropes as she yelled loudly, ‘We’re approved,’ before telling the beauty mogul that she was ‘doing amazing sweetie’ for putting the trolley away and they headed off to a car wash.
To be honest, we would watch an entire spin-off of Kris and Kylie go to the supermarket…
In a camera interview, the mom-of-six explained why she shied away from doing basic errands was the lack of privacy she was faced with while out and about.
‘One of the things that gets a little tricky is privacy,’ she said. ‘I stopped going to the grocery store because the people that were in the grocery store were sneaking pictures and then suddenly paparazzi would show up.
‘It was hard.’
