Loose Women star Kaye Adams admitted she felt ashamed for lying about her age to her daughter Charley.
The TV personality celebrated her 60th birthday with her co-stars Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan and Denise Welch who pulled out the stops for their colleague and friend.
The Strictly Come Dancing star has previously expressed the guilt she felt for decreasing her age by about 10 years to her daughter Charley, now 20.
‘You really had a serious block about admitting how old you were to the point your kids thought you were 10 years younger,’ Coleen asked her.
‘I feel ashamed,’ Kaye replied.
‘I was an older mum and felt a bit embarrassed with the younger mums at the school gates.’
‘But I took her [Charley] to a café after school and told her mummy was 10 years older than I’d told her.
‘I know it was bonkers, it was stupid.’
Kaye was later spoiled with a wholesome montage of her time on Loose Women and was later presented with a customised cake which showed the twerking!

Kaye also marked her milestone birthday on Instagram with a picture of her jumping for joy in a red swimsuit.
She penned: ‘As a life-long age-phobic who has spent the past nine months navel-gazing with Karen Mackenzie on our HTB60 podcast, the short answer is that it feels much the same as yesterday.
‘I’ve got everything that makes me happy – Ian [Campbell], the kids, sunshine and time to mess around. But speaking to so many fellow ‘60 clubbers’ on the podcast has really made me think about how I want to approach however many years I have ahead and, to boil it down to a single line, I want to spend less time focused on climbing and more time focused on growing.
‘I am a typical Capricorn, a little mountain goat who just gets its head down and keeps trekking on up towards the summit.’
It was certainly a big year for Kaye as she was one of the contestants on this year’s Strictly.
The star was partnered with professional Kai Widdrington, unfortunately, the pair were the first to be eliminated from the competition.
