Katie Price‘s mother has stated unequivocally that she does not support her daughter’s continued goal to have “the largest breasts in Britain.”
The 44-year-old former beauty model had her 16th breast enlargement operation last year and now has a 2120 CC bust.
Her mother, Amy, 70, has now expressed alarm over her daughter’s several surgeries, even going so far as to call the breast size “crazy.”
Amy spoke about how she didn’t want to endorse the procedures from the start when she appeared on This Morning on Tuesday to promote her new novel The Last Word.
‘It started off from an early age when she did her first shoot and it was on a beach and someone had said “how can she be a Page Three girl, she’s got no boobs?”,’ she explained.
‘She heard it…and she was adamant then that she wanted to change and have bigger boobs, so that’s how it started.’
She continued: ‘I didn’t want her to have any surgery at all, and I even cancelled a few operations so she couldn’t have her boobs done.’
Amy later stated that her daughter “learned not to tell me” until she was either “heading down into the operating theatre” or “after.”
‘I used to go “now what have you done and why have you done this”,’ she said.
Amy then said she believed Katie was struggling with body dysmorphia.
‘I mean, her boobs are ridiculous if you ask me,’ she added.
In her memoir, Amy discusses her daughter’s surgery at length in the book, saying: ‘The natural 32B boobs my daughter had as a 17-year-old have got bigger and bigger until I barely recognise the body in front of me.
‘Some of the things she has done to her body are not only ridiculous, but dangerous,’ the extract read, as reported by The Sun.
Katie went under the knife for larger boobs for the first time in 1998, first going up a single cup size.
The next year, she got another breast augmentation, moving from a 32D to a 32G.
She dropped to a 32F in 2007 after meeting her first husband, Peter Andre, and then to a 32D in 2008 before growing again in the following years.
Katie was questioned earlier this year on GB News if she planned to undergo further cosmetic surgery.
‘Oh my God, that’s just a no brainer! What do you think? Of course!’, she exclaimed.
However she advised others that: ‘If there’s anyone out there who wants to get their boobs done, do it for yourself, not for anyone else or for your career.’
She was then astounded to learn that study had showed that her breasts weighed about two kilogrammes apiece.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
