BBC’s Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next documentary has sparked more than 100 complaints for being an ‘inappropriate subject for a documentary’.
The 43-year-old model had cameras follow her and her eldest son Harvey, who was born with Prader-Willi syndrome and is partially blind as he transitioned into life at a specialist residential college, making friends and learning how to be independent.
While viewers praised the unbreakable bond between the pair, some believed it was an ‘inappropriate subject for a documentary’ which resulted in a total of 103 complaints filed by angry viewers.
One person tweeted: ‘Good to see that #questiontime is back tonight on the #BBC where it should be on thursday night.Last week I was outraged when it was replaced by a documentary on the criminal #KatiePrice. Can someone from the BBC please explain why you did this??! #bbcqt.’
While another added: ‘This is an outrageous abuse of license funds!’
A BBC spokesperson told Metro.co.uk that the show successfully highlights Harvey Price’s experience as a young man entering an important stage in his life.
