Kate Garraway landed herself in hot water with Good Morning Britain producers, who were forced to cut her off live on-air.
The TV presenter was in the middle of delivering an update on the Tokyo Olympics alongside her co-host Ben Shephard when they ran overtime, prompting producers to cut to the weather report.
Ben began: ‘Bit of breaking news Kate Garraway, the sailors have come up trumps again.
‘Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre have collected gold in the women’s 2p dinghy.’
However, Kate interjected: ‘I think they just had to finish in the top eight to do it didn’t they? That places Hannah Mills as the most successful Olympian ever… for us obviously.
‘For sailing I think?’
Ben wasn’t entirely convinced by his co-host’s facts and told viewers: ‘Okay we’re going to check – you’ve sent everyone in our ear into a spin.’

Kate then confessed: ‘I did that earlier on with the whole winter Olympic debacle – they’re shouting at me now, “Don’t cause me trouble Garraway”.
‘Whatever it is, it’s wonderful news, congratulations to them.’
Moving onto the weather, Kate continued: ‘Des Coleman is always a gold winner for us, and he’s in a skate park in Hemel Hempstead now.
‘He didn’t get on brilliantly with horses at…’
It was at this mid-sentence point that the screen cut to the pre-weather report advert before Des popped up for his segment.

However, Kate stepped in to avoid wasting the day when Des momentarily skilled sound points, and acquired time by persevering with her earlier level, saying: ‘You didn’t get on fabulously with horses earlier this week, and we’re questioning if skateboarding is your sport?
‘Are we going to see you on the half pipe? Or whatever it is the kids say.’
It comes after Kate, 54, shared an replace on husband Derek’s ongoing well being battle with lengthy Covid.
She defined: ‘That’s the factor, increasingly [symptoms] are rising as totally different elements of the physique are broken.
‘I know Derek is an extreme example but, all the time there are more issues. Initially, it was a bit of exhaustion and now it seems to be more of them presenting.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
