Robert Rinder has hit back at a troll who said they were ‘sick’ of seeing him on Good Morning Britain ‘just because he’s friends with Susanna Reid’.
The television personality, also known as Judge Rinder, was a guest on Wednesday’s programme to promote his BBC documentary My Family, The Holocaust And Me ahead of it being reshown tonight.
He appeared at the beginning of the episode and spoke to Susanna and Adil Ray about his two-part series which follows him and his mum finding out what happened to their ancestors during World War II.
One keyboard warrior wasn’t too pleased by Rob’s appearance on the breakfast show though, and slammed him on Twitter.
‘Sick of @RobbieRinder being on @GMB just because he is friends with @susannareid100 just the same thing again and again on this program #GMB.’
Rob coolly and calmly replied to the troll, writing: ‘Hey “love and kindness influencer”. I’m on this morning to talk about my documentary the Holocaust, my family and me BBC4 9pm. I do hope you watch it.’
Following Rob’s response, it seemed as though the troll had a change of heart.
‘Just added your program tonight to my watch list look forward to it Rob,’ he typed back. ‘Thanks so much for replying today though really appreciate it and a bit of banter along the way.
‘Just stop popping up on GMB all the time #Love&Respect.’
Rob last appeared on Good Morning Britain at the beginning of December where he broke down in tears after watching an emotional video for the show’s anti-loneliness campaign.
In November, he co-presented the programme for the first time alongside Susanna as he stood in for Richard Madeley.
Viewers were so impressed with his hosting debut that they called for him to become a permanent fixture.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
