Josie Gibson has been killing time on the 2023 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! It is stated that this may be accomplished by a little flirtation.
The object of her devotion is not her celebrity campmates – and, alas, not Rylan Clark, whom she admits to having a crush on because he isn’t in the jungle – but rather the cameramen.
On Saturday’s edition of the ITV reality series, the crew supposedly caught the eye of This Morning anchor Josie as she competed in the Stumbling Blocks challenge alongside the first ousted campmate Frankie Dettori.
The 38-year-old may be eating just rice and beans, but she still has the stamina to converse with guys, and for that we applaud her.
During the task, Josie was allegedly ‘flirting with the cameraman’ with ‘that lively banter she has,’ according to a source.
The source highlighted that Josie’s behaviour isn’t unusual: ‘It happens every year, in the third week the campmates all arrive on set for trials and challenges and start to look at you like you’re from another planet – you can tell they feel a million miles away from the real world.’
She wasn’t simply looking for male attention; she was also, well, hungry.
‘Josie was also asking them all about the site canteen and the kind of food they eat while working,’ they explained.
She also mentioned that she was craving coffee and that she missed her five-year-old son Reggie.
‘She also said “Only eight more sleeps til I get to see Reg” and “I can’t wait to get out of here”,’ the source told The Sun.
Josie is depicted becoming angry while talking about Reggie and vowing never to abandon him for this long again.
‘I just miss my little boy, I shouldn’t have ever left him this long,’ an emotional Josie told Danielle Harold with a shaking voice.
Josie later told the Bush Telegraph she was having ‘a little wobble’ as ‘you just feel very guilty.’
‘I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.’
If a camera operator isn’t ‘the one,’ she’s already recruited the assistance of First Dates star Fred Sirieix to help her find her mate.
Hopefully, their current squabbles won’t influence who he picks for Josie.
The primary conflict has developed because leader Nella Rose has assigned Josie the post of camp cook, and Fred, 51, a pot washer, continues offering her unwanted advice.
