Jonnie Irwin has updated his fans on how he’s doing on Instagram, stating that he ‘hasn’t been feeling great’ over the last few days.
The A Place In The Sun star posted a video of himself in a car while travelling with his brother-in-law on Instagram.
‘I’ve not been feeling well these past couple of days,’ Jonnie stated from the passenger seat, explaining why he was travelling to Newcastle.
The 49-year-old, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, continued: ‘My brother-in-law Freddie is taking us to an architectural salvage fair at Ripon down in North Yorkshire, so I’ll be posting some pictures of things that we like.’
In his caption, Jonnie wrote: ‘Bit of interiors/ salvage hunting in @ripley_castle_estate,’ as fans shared supportive messages in the comment section underneath the Instagram post.
‘Listen to your body Jonnie have a lovely time but don’t over do it,’ one person wrote.
‘Enjoy ya day it’ll rest your mind a little hopefully x,’ someone else said.
Several fans expressed how well they thought Jonnie looked, with one writing: ‘Rocking those shades 😎.’
Another person stated: ‘Glad to see you looking good and just getting on with life x.’
The Decorate Home and Salvage Show that Jonnie was on his way to is now taking place at the Ripley Castle estate in Ripley, North Yorkshire, a few miles north of Harrogate.
The festival will also continue into the weekend, with the fair taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
Jonnie was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2020 and was given just months to live.
A few years later, he announced his diagnosis while also revealing that the disease had spread to his brain.
Earlier this week, Jonnie shared his joy in his eldest kid returning to school as the new school year began.
‘First day of school. I’m so proud of him I could burst x,’ the presenter wrote of his four-year-old son Rex.
Jonnie and his wife Jessica Holmes, whom he married in 2016, also have two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
