Jeremy Renner is making his comeback to acting following a near-fatal accident involving a snow plough.
The 52-year-old Marvel star is reprising his role as Mike McLusky in Mayor of Kingstown, with Paramount Plus confirming the show’s renewal for a third season.
Shortly after the tragic January accident, promotional material for season 2 was altered to respect Jeremy, who suffered severe injuries, including more than 30 broken bones and blunt chest trauma.
Jeremy’s bruises and cuts were removed from posters, and co-creator Hugh Dillon appreciated the network’s sensitivity, saying, ‘It’s good of the network. Everybody is sensitive to Jeremy.’
According to an insider, Jeremy had shifted his focus away from acting to prioritize his recovery, saying, ‘Although he still loves acting, Hollywood is just not a priority for him anymore.’
Jeremy regularly updated his fans on his recovery after a critical injury while saving his nephew in January.
In a recent update, he shared a photo of himself with tubes in his nose inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
He also posted a video of himself working out his legs, which now contain titanium.
Jeremy’s involvement in a horrific New Year’s Day accident saw him hit and pulled under a snowplow.
