Jeremy Clarkson has teased Clarkson’s Farm fans by revealing the release date for the highly awaited fourth season of his Amazon Prime Video series.
Clarkson’s Farm has grown in popularity since its initial episode in 2021, becoming one of the UK’s most popular streaming shows.
The documentary follows Jeremy as he attempts to run his 1,000-acre farm, Diddly Squat, in Oxfordshire, alongside farm manager Kaleb Cooper, land agent Charlie Ireland, ‘head of security’ Gerald Cooper, and his partner Lisa Hogan.
Despite the fact that season three aired more than three months ago, it is still one of Prime Video’s top five most-watched shows, trailing only the just released second season of The Rings of Power.
And now the former Top Gear host has hinted at how long it will be before the fourth season of Clarkson’s Farm premieres.
During an interview with Cathy Newman on Times Radio, Jeremy provided updates on the status of season four filming and hinted that a fifth season could be on its way shortly.
Clarkson said: ‘We’re likely to wrap up filming for season four in a couple of weeks. After editing and translating, it should be out around May. Then, we’ll kick off filming for season five shortly after.’
The most recent remarks from Jeremy come after he mistakenly stated that a fifth season would be coming despite only having released season three.
He posted a photo of his two beloved dogs, named after Game of Thrones characters Sansa and Arya Stark, and quipped that they were ‘pleading’ to be part in season five.
He captioned the photo: ‘The dogs pleading with (Clarkson’s Farm producer) Andy Wilman to be in season five,’ alerting fans to the fact that yet more seasons are coming.
It didn’t take long for viewers to spot the hint, with Liam Conlan commenting ‘Season 5?! Amazing! Bring on season 4!’ and Gill Pile saying, ‘Is that a (not so) subtle way of announcing that Amazon have green-lit another series’.
Previously, producer Andy had said that neither him nor Jeremy were afraid to bring Clarkson’s Farm to an end if it no longer felt genuine or organic, despite being such a huge show.
‘I’ve got no feelings on whether there’s a five or not. Jeremy’s the same. He’s like: “When we’ve got nothing left to say, let’s walk away”,’ he explained to Deadline.
The forthcoming fourth season will see Jeremy looking for new methods to profit from his farm’s produce, which includes meat, veggies, and an on-site shop.
In addition to extending and diversifying the farm’s produce, he recently opened a bar near the farm, which appears to be a gastro-pub with farm-made food on the menu.
Never one to mince words, Jeremy has already prohibited Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer from meeting with British farmers ‘unless something is done’ to better their conditions.
