Jeremy Clarkson has finally revealed information about his farm that followers have been waiting for for more than a day.
On Thursday, the 63-year-old former Top Gear host promised ‘great news’ on the horizon.
‘Stand by for some fantastic news from Clarkson’s Farm,’ he posted on Twitter.
Fans of the programme speculated that he would be announcing another season, while some speculated that it might have something to do with the property’s inner workings.
Those folks were accurate, with Jeremy now disclosing that the announcement was about the birth of several cute creatures.
‘And here is the fantastic news. A HUGE amount of piglets,’ he shared on social media on Friday night.
His message and three photographs of the piglets wowed admirers, many of whom congratulated him.
‘Wow, brilliant news,’ one person commented.
‘This is awesome,’ someone else said.
Many others, on the other hand, provided reminders of the realities of farm life, with numerous bacon-related gags.
One person did write: ‘You’re going to break my heart when the season finale is you eating them in a sandwich.’
Jeremy stated earlier this year that he had trouble sleeping after having to give up some of the animals on his Diddly Squat Farm.
Explaining the ‘gut-wrenching’ decision to give up seven of his male pigs, he wrote in his Sunday Times column: ‘I can never sleep properly the night before they go, and all the way to the slaughterhouse I have what feels like a hot cricket ball in the pit of my stomach.’
‘And then when it’s finally time to say goodbye, I always become a little bit unmanly.
‘I know that I’m trying to be a farmer and that this is what farmers do. And I know I will enjoy the bacon and ham and pork chops that result.’
But he added that it was ‘not easy taking seven happy, healthy pigs from their woodland home to their deaths.
Clarkson’s Farm is streaming on Prime Video.
