Janice Dickinson was supposedly forced to withdraw from I’m A Celebrity…I need to get out of here! The best of the best.
The 68-year-old supermodel, who finished second in the regular version of the celebrity survival show in 2007 alongside winner Christopher Biggins, had signed up to participate in the new version of the reality series but suffered a fall on set and is said to have left the show quickly after being rushed to hospital.
Janice is said to have stumbled during the night after getting ‘disoriented,’ and her injuries were described as “horrific.”
A source said: ‘Blood was gushing from her head and she was covered in dirt and dust. A crowd formed and one of the campmates had to ask everyone to stand back to give her space to breathe.’
The insider went on to say that the former American’s Next Top Model judge’s injuries were so severe that on-set medics needed additional assistance and feared she had suffered a ‘cracked skull’ before being given the ‘all-clear’ by doctors at the hospital where she had been ‘doing great’ but had to leave the series due to the injury.
They added to The Sun: ‘The injuries were severe enough that she had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
‘The on-set medics are very good but this needed her going to a fully equipped hospital. There were fears that she had suffered a cracked skull but she was later given the all-clear by doctors.
‘She was left with no choice but to miss the rest of the competition.’
The event occurred during the night, when Janet was’searching for bathrooms’ as the other candidates slept, according to the source.
Aside from Janice, the cast of All Star includes Helen Flanagan, Amir Khan, Paul Burrell, Fatima Whitbread, Jordan Banjo, Shaun Ryder, and Phil Tuffnel, with more expected to join as the season progresses.
