It has been rumoured that Jamie Oliver is planning a new series of – Jamie’s £1 Wonders in an effort to combat the rising expense of living.
The famous chef will be back on our televisions for another season, churning up meals from inexpensive recipes and sharing his money-saving cooking advice.
After debuting with a one-off episode in October of last year, it has been claimed that Jamie, 47, would return for a six-part series of his show Jamie’s £1 Wonders.
Not only will the chef serve up meals for less than a pound each, but he’s also rumoured to be visiting other parts of the world to pick up tips on how to create tasty dinners for less money.
‘Jamie is really excited by the upcoming series,’ the insider said.
He plans to go to countries like Sri Lanka, Canada, Italy, and India to learn how to lower food prices without sacrificing consumer satisfaction.
According to The Sun’s TV Biz column, an insider revealed, “Guest cooks will be invited in too, so it will be a true cooperation.”
After expressing his confusion as to why more young people aren’t working in kitchens, Jamie has now addressed the issue.
The husband and father of six (Poppy, 20, Daisy, 19, Petal, 13, Buddy, 12, and River, 6), emphasised that practise made perfect in the kitchen.
The celebrity chef, whose resume includes several best-selling books and a hit TV series, recently said that British kids weren’t getting their fair share of the “pleasure” he found in the kitchen.
‘I was good at cooking – not because I was born to do it or a genius but because I just did it again and again,’ he remarked.
‘I had a terrible time academically at school but I loved working at the weekend – learning to graft, learning to be tired, learning to earn a pound.
He added to the Radio Times: ‘I was blessed to work with seven chefs on a shift who all taught me how to do things and would whup me if I didn’t do them right.
‘It baffles me why British kids and people don’t want to work in kitchens. There’s a real happiness to be had.’
