In the newest I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! teaser, During the show trial, a competitor from Australia was horrifyingly bitten by a snake.

The most recent season of the regional version debuted last week, with well-known Australians flying to South Africa to put themselves through terrifying tasks in order to raise money for their preferred charities.

Former professional rugby player Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins, 35, is one of the celebrities.

In the clip from today, Nick can be seen forcing his hand into a cage with a large snake, which fiercely clamps its jaws around his palm.

‘Let’s go! Oh, my goodness,’ host Julia Morris can be heard shouting to the show’s crew in the background.

‘Are you OK?’ co-presenter Dr Chris Brown asks him.

Fans shared their horror under the teaser post, and Nick naturally appeared to be in pain due to the snake’s vicious action.

‘Why isn’t anyone stepping in?’ one person asked.

‘OMG! Thats fierce!!! I hope he’s ok,’ another added.

The most recent season has delivered more shocks than expected as TV veteran Kerri-Anne Kennerley abruptly left the programme after refusing to participate in two challenges.

Medics attended to the scene immediately (Picture: Ten)

She resisted when hosts Chris and Julia explained that her first task would need her to search through faeces and “get sprayed with sewerage and maggots” in order to earn gold stars.

‘I would rather play golf,’ she insisted.

‘Why did KAK bother going onto I’m A Celebrity? No team player. Totally selfish. She may once have been labelled an icon, but she’s now an entitled has-been who deserves little respect,’ one person posted on Twitter.

Another added: ‘Why did she come on this show if she refuses to do the trials?’

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs on Channel Ten in Australia.
