I’m A Celebrity star Danny Miller couldn’t contain his excitement after sharing a bed with David Ginola.
Dreams really do come true don’t they Danny!
The former Emmerdale actor and the football legend were promoted to Lords of the Castle by the public in Wednesday’s episode, which meant the two stars had the luxury of sleeping in a decent bed
When he became aware of sleeping arrangements, Danny, who recently revealed he had a crush on the star, was thrilled to discover he would be sleeping in the same bed as his idol.
‘I’m David’s b****, I’m happy with that,’ he joked to Louise Minchin and Frankie Bridge.
‘It’s bonkers honestly. I had top number 14 because of him because he was 14 for Tottenham,’ he added.
Danny’s excitement led to a deeper discussion within the camp, as the others started talking about who their football heroes were.
Louise said: ‘I remember, David Beckham, Michael Owen…’
Danny quickly replied saying: ‘Michael Owen broke my heart, he wouldn’t have a picture with me when I see him.
‘He just went no… he’d had a really bad game, so I blame that.’
Frankie added: ‘I remember talking to Wayne about a particular England game.
‘I think Beckham and Michael Owen might have been in and I was like describing it to him [Wayne] and he was like, “Yeah I played in that…” and I was like, “Oh did you?” I only remembered the pretty ones at the time you know…’
Olympian Matty Lee later joined the interesting conversation and revealed his childhood here was Tom Daley, who is currently the star’s diving partner, and said he’s also ‘shared a bed with him.’
‘And kind of won a gold medal with him…,’ Danny quipped.
Matty said in the Telegraph: ‘He [Tom] does sometimes snore, but so do I.
‘I can’t really comment in a bad way about that. He’s not a wriggler which is good, he very much stays on his side on the bed and I’m on the other side which is ideal.’
I’m A Celebrity returns Friday at 9pm on ITV.
