I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! finalist Vernon Kay and Tess Daly have finally reunited after being apart for five weeks.
The former Family Fortunes presenter, who came third in the ITV series which saw Giovanna Fletcher crowned the first-ever queen of the castle, arrived back at his family home on Saturday.
However, poor Vernon had to sit tight until after Tess was done with her hosting duties on Strictly.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Tess shared an adorable snap of the pair back together again.
Donning matching jumpers, Vernon looked thrilled to be home as he chilled on the sofa with his wife.
‘After almost 5 weeks away (2 and a half in isolation before going into the @imacelebrity Castle),’ she penned.
‘It’s so good to have him home. Now it’s time to get that Christmas tree up…!’
Throughout Vernon’s journey on I’m A Celeb, Tess had been encouraging her followers to vote for her hubby.
The Strictly host also struggled to hold back the tears when Vernon made the final three along with Jordan North and Giovanna.
She even admitted that she’d been unable to sleep while the father of their two children had been away.
Speaking after his exit, Vernon explained that he found himself homesick and starving as the meagre rations saw him drop more than two stone.
Speaking to Daily Star on Sunday, Vernon explained how he struggled to hold back the tears during the series.
He began: ‘When you’re in there, you are emotionally drained because you are missing your family. I felt comfortable with that group of people that I could cry.
‘I didn’t think about trying to stop myself from getting emotional.’
‘You are physically drained, too. We were eating nothing but rice and beans most of the time,’ he continued.
