After 19 years, Channel 5 has cancelled The Gadget Show.
The programme, which debuted in 2004, featured presenters and guests showcasing and testing out the latest technological marvels.
Its demise comes only months after its name was changed from The Good Gadget Guide: Shop Smart, Save Money to The Good Gadget Guide: Shop Smart, Save Money.
Former CBBC presenter Angelica Bell will join the existing Gadget Show host line-up in a new series simply titled Shop Smart, Save Money.
Ortis Deley, Georgie Barrat, and Jon Bentley will continue to host the new show, which premieres on Channel 5 on September 29th at 7pm.
Old episodes of the show, which aired 39 distinct seasons over nearly two decades, will still be available on YouTube.
Loyal viewers of the programme were outraged when the name was changed in June of this year, but Channel 5 executives defended the move.
‘While the latest series has proved popular, we acknowledge that there has been some negative feedback regarding the recent format change,’ a statement said.
‘We understand that change can sometimes be met with mixed reactions, and we appreciate the feedback we have received from our viewers.’

The statement continued: ‘The decision to transition to The Good Gadget Guide: Shop Smart, Save Money was made to appeal to the broadest possible audience.
‘[We wanted to] provide valuable insights and recommendations in the realm of technology. The world of gadgets is constantly evolving.
‘Our goal is to strike a balance that appeals to a diverse audience while staying true to our commitment of providing valuable and engaging content in the world of technology.’
