As many are aware by now, Love Island season is officially underway and we can’t wait to watch the drama unfold.
The first episode of the ITV dating show traditionally sees the girls lining up and the boys taking their pick for the very first coupling. However, this year they didn’t have a say.
Instead, the couples were decided for them in a public vote.
While we’re getting to know the fresh batch of singletons, many fans are wondering how old they all are.
Well look no further.
Gemma,19, is a swimwear business owner and Great British dressage rider, who has said she can’t wait to have a ‘really fun summer’.
Although she is yet to mention it, she is the daughter of football icon Michael Owen.
However, the ‘my dad’s Michael Owen’ bomb was almost dropped during last night’s show when some of the Islanders were discussing surnames and Gemma was asked to reveal hers.
However, no one put two and two together, but there’s still time.
Liam is a 22-year-old student from Wales, and is the youngest male contestant.
He is currently studying for his masters in strength and conditioning.
In his VT, Liam made several intriguing revelations… including how mind-boggled he is that raisins are simply dried grapes.
He then made an admission that left many viewers scratching their heads – that he thought Elton John was actually two people for 20 of his 22 years.
‘I thought Elton John was two blokes for 20 years. I just thought it was like “Elt and John”, just like it’s Ant and Dec,’ he told the camera, giggling at his own mistake.
Luca is 23-year-old and lives in Brighton.
After he introduced himself as the one and only: ‘Luca Bish sells fish,’ fans are expecting a lot of laughs from the fishmonger.
Natasha ‘Tasha’ Ghouri is a 23 -year-old model and dancer from Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
She is also Love Island’s first Deaf contestant.
During Monday’s episode, Tasha called a group meeting to share that she wears a cochlear implant.
Her fellow contestants were super kind, saying they are ‘all here to support her no matter what she’s going through’, with another telling Tasha: ‘We love you and your superpowers.’
Indiyah is A 23-year-old hotel waitress from London.
While fans were in hysterics over reaction to being coupled up with Ikenna Ekwonna, her friends and family running her Instagram urged followers to ‘be mindful.’
‘It’s the first episode and Ikenna looks like a sweetheart,’ they added.
Ikenna Ekwonna is a 23-year-old pharmaceutical salesman from Nottingham.
Although things got off to a frosty start, Indiyah later admitted that she needed to try and be more ‘open’ as she warmed to Ikenna.
Paige is a 24-year-old nurse from Swansea.
Ahead of the show, she revealed that struggled to find anyone in her hometown.
‘I need to break out and broaden my horizons and Love Island just brings everyone together for me,’ she said.
Amber IS 24-year-old nanny from London.
She decided to sign up for this year’s Love Island because now ‘just feels like the right time’.
‘I feel like now I’m most definitely ready, and wanting to look for a boyfriend,’ she said.
Dami is a 26-year-old microbiologist from Dublin.
Judging by his Instagram snaps, it looks like the singleton knows a thing or two about street style, as he is seen serving some series looks on his grid.
Davide is a 27-year-old business owner from Rome, Italy, who now lives in Manchester.
After making a grand entrance in Monday’s episode, the power is in Davide’s hands tonight, as will couple up with one of the girls – which means one boy will be left vunerable.

Andrew is 27-year-old real estate agent from Guernsey
Before he even entered the villa, Andrew was at the centre of controversy after he was incorrectly accused of stealing a handbag in Bristol.
Taking to Twitter, Carol wrote underneath the ITV2 show’s official announcement: ‘He looks like the man who stole my daughter’s handbag in Sainsbury’s.
‘Can you confirm please if he was in Bristol Sainsburys on March 12?’
Carol’s tweets quickly went viral, with users making memes jokingly showing Andrew at a Sainsbury’s.
Luckily, Andrew’s friends running his social media accounts were on hand to clarify that he was not the perpetrator.
In a statement shared on his Instagram story, they wrote: ‘In all seriousness though, we can confirm that Andrew was in Dubai on 12th March when Carol’s daughter’s bag was stolen – we hope you find the perpetrator soon Carol.’
