Donald Glover has disclosed that he secretly married while filming his new Amazon Prime Video sitcom, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The 40-year-old American actor, comedian, and singer, who has appeared on both big and small screens, previously stated in 2018 that marriage was not in his destiny.
However, in a new interview, Donald’s colleague on the new series, Maya Erskine, 36, claimed that the This Is America hitmaker, who is notoriously discreet about his personal life, secretly married.
The two have been working on a television adaptation of the 2005 film, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as secret assassins sent to kill each other.
Donald and Maya had been brainstorming ideas for the espionage comedy programme since 2021, and it seemed that getting married was all the motivation they needed.
Speaking to The Independent about herself and Donald, Maya said: ‘We both got married to our partners, respectively. Donald got married during the show and I got married right after the show, so definitely it had an impact on us.’

Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, has been with his new wife Michelle White for eight years and the pair has three children.
They initially acknowledged their relationship in 2016 when they were sighted on vacation in Hawaii, soon before the birth of their first child, Legend.
Maya married 36-year-old actor Michael Angarano, who recently acted in Oppenheimer, has been on TV shows such as ER and 24, and nearly played a young Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
