Even though Married At First Sight is just in its second week, things have already gotten out of hand at the first dinner party.
The couples had just returned from their wonderful honeymoons, but instead of talking how many pina coladas they drank and comparing tan lines, the subject of conversation was ‘Where is the missing groom?’
Porscha Pernnelle and Terence Edwards married last night, and while they were initially drawn to each other, they rapidly began to doubt if their lives were compatible.
Porscha, the executive assistant, is a self-proclaimed homebody, whereas Terence, the youth worker, spends his weekends DJing around the country.
Dad-of-three Terence was also irritated when Porscha, who has one son, asked him whether he was Christian before asking for his name.
Things appear to have gotten worse when Porscha arrived at the dinner gathering alone.
She stepped in with her arms spread, clearly seeking consolation, signalling she wanted an embrace from fellow bride Laura Vaughan.
‘Where’s your hubby?’ she asked as they embraced.
The other newlyweds were taken aback by her lone appearance, and they weren’t alone; the dating specialists were as well.
‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone come to the first dinner party alone,’ shared Mel Schilling.
Terence subsequently appears, but he does not appear to be welcomed.
‘Why are you coming over just to tell me again how it’s all my fault?’ Porscha fires out at her new husband.
Later, in an emotional outpouring, she asked Laura, who married Arthur Poremba: ‘What have I done to warrant such disdain?’
Ella Morgan Clark opens up to the group in the first dinner party, which will air later this week.
Ella, the first trans bride on MAFS UK, stands forward and reads from a piece of paper. ‘I’m not afraid to stand here,’ she says.
On the E4 show, the 29-year-old clinic consultant from Weston-super-Mare hoped to discover her happily ever after.
However, things haven’t gone as planned, with Ella allegedly cheating on Nathanial Valentino with another groom in the series. The couple has already been seen arguing on their honeymoon.
