The release date for the new episode 6 finale of Hawkeye has finally arrived on Disney Plus, with the MCU TV series revealing the return of Daredevil villain Kingpin.
It’s been an exciting week for Marvel fans, with some getting to watch Spider-Man swing by in No Way Home before catching Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) back in action.
The cast of the show, which also includes the phenomenal Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, has gone all out to create a show-stopping adventure, which comes to a head in spectacular fashion in New York at Christmas.
Many fans are undoubtedly already wondering whether there will be a season two of Hawkeye, considering the first lot of episodes served as an introduction to Kate.
So could we see more Hawkeye in future?
Will there be a Hawkeye season 2?
So far, a second season of Hawkeye hasn’t been confirmed.
However, that doesn’t mean that it couldn’t be a possibility in future.
While it’s understood that WandaVision was a limited series, it’s already been established that Loki will be back for season two.
Meanwhile, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is expected to continue its story in a fourth Captain America film.
There’s a lot of scope to explore in Hawkeye, with the ending hinting that Kate will take up Clint’s mantle by adopting the alias as he presumably settles down with his family.
Considering the amazing chemistry Hailee had on screen with Yelena, what with their well-matched fight scenes and charming banter, we’d definitely love to see them team up in future.
Nonetheless, their team-up could arrive in film… so perhaps Young Avengers may be imminent?
What other Marvel Disney Plus shows are on the way?
