As they watched the latest episode of My Mum, Your Dad, the Gogglebox stars were left cringing and hiding behind their hands.
The new ITV dating show, hosted by Davina McCall and called a middle-aged Love Island, provides single parents a second opportunity to find The One at a romantic getaway.
What parents don’t realise is that their children are observing everything they do.
As a result, when they were asked to an intimacy training, it made for very uneasy viewing, even for the Goggleboxers.
Some of it was pretty mild. While the parents were giving each other massages, it wasn’t as awful for the kids as what happened afterwards…
Tasked with selecting an object to ‘delight’ their partner with, two parents engaged in some intriguing shenanigans with… a grape.
Yes, this meant sexily feeding each other the fruit before trading grapes with their tongues.
‘That’s not sensual!’, exclaimed a horrified Mary Wood.
‘If that were your mum, you’d absolutely die,’ Ellie Warner screeched.
Helena Worthington agreed: ‘I just know how embarrassing that must feel.’
But it didn’t stop there, oh no.
One daring singleton chose a chocolate finger, having the cookie smeared all over her neck.
‘She doesn’t want all that around her neck, that’ll be sticky!’, the sofa critics said in shock.
‘This has gone up three notches,’ added Simon Minty.
Simon, who appears on the show alongside his sister Jane, then said to her: ‘You’re very quiet, I’m concerned you’ve done this…’
All Jane did was chuckle before saying coyly: ‘I’m just gonna say… Twix.’
As expected, Simon’s face was filled with terror as a slew of horrific pictures invaded his mind.
Giles Wood, on the other hand, couldn’t help but make a sly remark about how he would approach the assignment – we know you were curious.
He told his beloved ‘Nutty’: ‘I think I would’ve chosen a Curly Wurly.
‘I’d put one end in the partner’s mouth and I’d have the other end, and it’d take so long that by then she’d have lost interest!’
‘But that wouldn’t be sensual!’, Mary blasted.
No, Mary, we don’t think it would…
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4 and All4.
