Helena Worthington, star of Gogglebox, has stated that she does not possess a television.
Since 2017, the 29-year-old couch reviewer has been on the reality programme alongside her parents, George and Alison, giving their thoughts on the shows that have been airing.
But it turns out that going over to her parents’ place is the only way she can watch TV because she hasn’t considered buying her own.
‘I don’t really watch telly at home, I don’t have a TV but [Gogglebox is] how I catch up on what’s going on,’ she said.
‘I go to my mum’s and use her electric to watch the telly.
‘It’s a pretty good gig because you get to sit down and eat food and watch telly,’ she added when speaking to OK!.
She then went on to explain that she ‘always thought that I’d never be able to do that with any sort of kudos but you can now’.
‘It’s great!’ she added.
During the same interview, her mother, Alison, stated that having the family get together once a week to film for the series was “wonderful.”
‘There’s no getting out of it for Helena,’ she explained.
‘She has to come and see her mum and dad.
‘Well, it takes an hour on the bus for me so it’s too much.’
The family has been on the programme for 11 seasons and is one of the longest-serving cast members, having joined the same year as brothers Pete and Sophie Sandiford.
Helena’s three-year-old son Erwin, whom she shares with partner Daniel, appeared on the show earlier this year.
He was shown in the episode playing and speaking with his mother and grandparents.
There’s also been a baby boom among the actors recently, with Pete becoming a father for the second time, and Ellie Warner giving birth to her first kid last month.
Scarlett Moffatt also revealed this week that she had given birth, releasing the name of her newborn boy, Jude Xavier Dobinson, as well as some private photos from her delivery.
Gogglebox is streaming on All4.
