The cast of Gladiators will be reuniting 20 years after the show’s finale for a tell-all reunion, where they will be sharing secrets from their time on the programme.

The ITV gameshow was presented Ulrika Jonsson and John Fashanu, and saw four members of the public – two male and two female – battle it out in physical contests against the show’s athletes – aka ‘Gladiators’ – to make it into the Eliminator round.

Once in the Eliminator, contestants had to make it through the final assault course, including the dreaded Travelator, with the winners being hugely celebrated.

Gladiators made household names out of most of the competitors.

Jet (Diane Youdale), Cobra (Michael Willson), Panther (Helen O’Reilly) and Scorpio (Nikki Diamond) will come together at Comic-Con festival in November, to dish out secrets and meet-and-greets with fans.

Saracen (Michael Lewis), Phoenix (Sandy Young) and Zodiac (Kate Staples) will also be joining.

The reunion in Reading is also expected to feature actress Amanda Abbington and Ronnie Le Drew, who played Zippy and Rainbow.

The organisers of the Comic-Con festival are said to be ecstatic to have landed so many of the show’s stars.

‘We are excited to host a Gladiators reunion at our event later in the year,’ bosses told the Daily Star.

‘So many fans have already been in contact to express their excitement at seeing their childhood heroes reunite for the first time in years. Fans will not want to miss it.

‘Everyone is hoping they’ll reveal some juicy gossip about what went on behind the scenes.’

The missing Gladiators who starred on the original ITV show are Amazon (Sharron Davies), Wolf (Mike van Wijk) and Jefferson King (Shadow).

It comes following reports that a TV special to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gladiators is in the works.

Gladiators drew crowds of up to 14 million people every week, with nearly 100,000 people applying to fight the likes of Jet, Wolf, Panther, and Cobra.

Jet, real name Diane, addressed the rumours of a TV special earlier this year while on the Celebrity Catch Up podcast.

She said: ‘There’s been talk. I’m pretty sure if ITV doesn’t do anything then we’ll cuff something up together.

‘I’d like it to be something that would honour the huge fan base that is still out there for the show, people that were so fond of the show growing up.’
