For eight seasons, the cast of Game of Thrones had to deal with fake, horrific wounds, but one of the show’s stars has disclosed that they’re facing weeks of recuperation for a real-life injury.
Lena Headey, who portrayed the terrifying Cersei Lannister in the fantasy series, updated her followers on what’s going on in her life with a shot of her legs propped up on a chair in an Instagram post.
Her right foot was covered in a cast that extended from her toes to her mid-calf, while her left foot was naked.
In her post, the 49-year-old also laid a set of crutches on the seat, expressing her unhappiness with her disability.
‘F**k. 6 weeks. One Birk only. 😡,’ she wrote, as several of fans wished her a speedy recovery… in addition to suggesting how she could spend the time.
‘6 weeks, you could watch GOT from season 1-8 to pass the time 😜,’ one person commented.
Fellow Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel added: ‘Oh nooooo! Hope you have a speedy recovery!’
Thor star Jaimie Alexander added: ‘Oh no!!!! 🙈 sending you healing vibes. I’m so sorry 🙈🙈💛.’
Another person referenced one of Cersei’s most memorable scenes in the show, writing: ‘No walk of shame for you.’
Someone else pointed out Lena’s hot pink nail polish on her toenails, stating: ‘At least your toes are super cute! Speedy healing!’
Lena had just uploaded a separate image of her legs on Instagram a few days before, with her right foot clearly cast-free.
‘Half Calf,’ she captioned the snap, which showed her legs propped up on a chair while she wore socks and sandals.
The actress also added the hashtags ‘#ibizawasfun’, ‘#ididntgoanywhere’ and ‘#hotpotatosummer’ at the time.
Lena’s most recent Instagram postings were her first since February of this year, so followers were naturally pleased to see her return to their newsfeeds.
‘MOTHER IS BACK,’ one commented underneath, as another said: ‘Thank god she’s back!!’
