Gal Gadot has described her horrific injuries after filming violent battle scenes for her current Netflix flick Heart of Stone.
The Israeli actress, 32, plays Rachel Stone in the action thriller, which was released in early August and stars Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo, and Alia Bhatt.
Heart of Stone follows the titular Stone, also known as Nine of Hearts, as she attempts to protect an artificial intelligence system from falling into the hands of evil.
Gadot, better known as Wonder Woman, has now acknowledged that the severity of her injuries has caused members of the public to stare at her while she is out in public.
‘I had plenty of bruises. I remember one Sunday I was walking with the girls in the park in London and someone looked at me weird,’ she explained.
Speaking to The Sun, she gave more details about her injuries, saying: ‘I was wearing a summer dress, oblivious to the fact my legs and back were completely bruised.’
‘I was with my girls and people were looking at me like something was odd,’ claimed the Fast and Furious actor, referring to her injuries.
Despite the challenges, Gadot insisted that bruises and four damaged discs in her back are merely a result of the tough roles she plays.
She said that she also has two neck herniations and two back herniations and stated that fighting and conflict are two aspects of filmmaking that she appreciates.
Despite its early popularity on Netflix, topping its internal movie charts upon release, Heart of Stone garnered mostly scathing reviews from reviewers.
Gadot recently concluded filming her role as the Evil Queen in the upcoming Disney adaptation, Snow White, which is planned to be released in March 2024.
Earlier this month, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot stated that a third DC Comics film will be released in the near future.
‘I enjoy playing Wonder Woman,’ she told Comicbook. It’s really near and dear to my heart. According to what I’ve heard, a Wonder Woman 3 is in the works.’
Heart of Stone is available to watch on Netflix.
