Jesy Nelson is reportedly in discussions to participate on Dancing On Ice next year.

ITV officials have allegedly invited the former Little Mix singer, who famously left the group in 2020, to compete on the programme when it returns in January.

‘ITV has approached Jesy to see if she would be interested,’ a source said.

‘They have made it clear she is firmly at the top of their wish list and they’d do anything to make it happen.

‘She is an incredibly talented performer and would have a great presence on the ice.’

They added to The Sun: ‘The show’s bosses hope the break she is on at the moment will give her time to think about taking part, as ITV thinks she would be brilliant.’

Jesy, 31, was a member of Little Mix alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards for nine years until leaving in 2020.

In an Instagram post at the time, she stated that she was “ready to start on a new chapter” in her life and that being in the band had impacted her mental health.

In April, Jesy disclosed that she had not spoken to her former bandmates since she left, but added: ‘I honestly wish them the best on their solo journeys now.’

Speaking to The Sun, she continued: ‘Being in a girl band, you are a machine going all the time. You don’t have a minute to breathe and take time out if you just need space. That was something I struggled with.

‘For me, my mental health issues were an ongoing thing while I was in Little Mix. I was struggling with my body issues, I was constantly being trolled and I really, really struggled.

‘I was in it for nearly 10 years. I think I was never prepared for what was to come. I didn’t have social media or any of that. I was just a barmaid working in Dagenham.’

Little Mix won the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011, becoming the first group to do so.
