Ferne McCann is going to share more than just baby photographs with the world with the birth of her second kid.
The 32-year-old former TOWIE actress announced her second child’s birth last month with a beautiful black-and-white video, along with the remark, ‘It’s a girl,’ as well as the newborn’s July 6 birthdate.
Since then, the TV actress has provided frequent updates on how the baby is doing, along with adorable photos. In one, Finty snuggled close to her older sister, five-year-old Sunday.
The actress has now disclosed that she videotaped the birth for her TV programme, a new season of First Time Mum.
Ferne stated that she is ‘desperate’ to share her birthing experience with followers, but she does not want to ruin the video’s major reveal on her programme.
‘A few of you have asked me to share my birth story. Guys, I am so excited and so desperate to share my birth story,’ she said in an Instagram story.
‘But we filmed my birth for my show, so I don’t want to give anything away.
‘But I am so desperate to share with you guys, I cannot wait for you to see it.’
Chatting about the new series last month, Ferne shared: ‘Ok I don’t even know where to begin. This series is different! It’s real…it’s raw and it’s REALITY!’
Finty is Ferne and Lorri Haines’ first child, whereas her eldest is Arthur Collins, who is presently serving a 20-year jail sentence for throwing acid at a crowd of people in a nightclub.
Ferne was heard calling one of her ex’s victims “an ugly f*****g c**t” in a voice message that was released in November of last year.
The mother-of-two eventually apologised to the victim, Sophie Hall, but said that the voice notes were “manipulated, altered, and taken out of context.”
Ferne also said that, while it wasn’t her “finest moment,” she was “frustrated” that she couldn’t explain “the truth” since the leak was being investigated.
‘It definitely was a very difficult time in my life when those voicenotes were leaked,’ she said on This Morning in March.
‘I need to publicly apologise again to those affected. The words I used were unpleasant and I have reached out privately to those people.’
She went on: ‘I would love to sit here and share exactly what went on but it’s now part of a criminal investigation so I can’t. But these voice notes were from a time when I was in a very vulnerable situation and it was a very difficult situation.
‘It was five or six years ago. I’ve since then done a lot of work on myself, I’ve been in therapy for six years. I am a different person.’
She added that ‘one day [she] will get that chance to be 100% transparent,’ even insisting her story ‘will help a lot of women.’
