It won’t be long before 12 new contestants enter the famed Great British Bake Off tent, each hoping to become Britain’s next top baker.
The popular reality show returns in September, with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith sorting the moist sponges from the soggy bottoms.
There has also been a change in the presenting lineup, with long-time presenter Matt Lucas being replaced with This Morning fan favourite Alison Hammond.
The Channel 4 competition is also seeking to reclaim some of its most ardent supporters after losing over a million viewers on the night it debuted last year.
One possibility is that it will do so through a competition in which one lucky fan will be able to watch the 14th season while eating cake.
Big House Experience, a boutique vacation rental firm, has stated that they are searching for someone with a’refined pallet’ to taste-test baked items from the show.
The lucky applicant will receive £100 to purchase goods for baking, then an extra £400 to watch brand new episodes will dining out on cakes and pastries.
To enter the competition, any entrant must sign a form, giving their name and details and explaining why they’re the best person for this lucrative job.
Following the conclusion of each episode of the new season, the winner will be invited to submit their findings back to Big House Experience for additional consideration.
The flavorful meal will include Victoria sponge cake, scones, Welsh cakes, shortbread, pasties, crumpets, sticky toffee puddings, and Eccles cakes.
In addition, the competition winner will be required to consume Bakewell tarts, Chelsea buns, sausage rolls, and pork pies – it’s a tough life.
Big House Experience has made it clear that all applications must come from someone who can watch Bake Off on TV or through a streaming source.
The winner must also be able to get to a store to purchase the necessary materials, have a sweet tooth, and a love of ‘all things very British’.
