Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s debut on Dancing On Ice is already legendary, with the reality star recreating her famed crawl, well, on ice.
The Love Island actress has teamed up with American professional skater Brendyn Hatfield for a sequence set to Britney Spears‘ smash Toxic.
Ekin-Su, 28, opened the act backed by a group of male dancers before gliding, pouting, and spinning over the ice with the support of Brendyn, 36.
However, the moment she crawled over the ice towards the camera will live on in the minds of her supporters. Of course, it was a homage to the iconic scene in which Ekin-Su crept across the terrace towards Jay Younger for a secret kiss despite her romance with her now-boyfriend, Davide Sanclimenti.
Reacting to the routine, one viewer tweeted: ‘Ekin recreating her crawl im screaming an icon.’
‘Not them putting Ekin’s Love Island crawl into the routine,’ another laughed.
‘Obsessed with Ekin Su doing THAT crawl,’ one viewer said.
One weighed in: ‘DID EKIN SU JUST CRAWL ON ICE i love her.’
In the audience, Ekin-Su was cheered on by her lover Davide, who sweetly cheered her on at any given opportunity, as well as her brother and mother.
Speaking to the judges after her performance, which received a score of 21.5, the Turkish actress said: ‘I always find the ice is like electricity, it’s the best place to feel free,’ adding that she’s also able to ‘de-stress’ on the ice.
Sharing her verdict, Oti Mabuse praised: ‘I loved it, I thought it was hot from the outfit to the hair.
‘You have something that can’t be taught, you’re a performer and turn into someone else when performing.’
Jayne Torvill agreed: ‘It was a very sexy performance and you looked very comfortable out there,’ but said she ‘wants more skating’.
Ashley Banjo shared a similar sentiment but offered some pointers, saying: That performance was like fire, that’s what I expect from you.
‘Now I want to see what you can do without holding onto Brendyn.’
Christopher Dean said: ‘If you didn’t have the skates on it would have been a 10.’
This year’s Dancing On Ice got off to an electric start with Towie star Joey Essex admitting his crush on ‘beautiful’ partner Vanessa Baeur, after they flirted during rehearsals, and judge Chris hilariously making an accidental racy joke about co-judge Jayne.
On more of a poignant note, The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran revealed he is ‘still grieving’ the death of his late bandmate Tom Parker, who died from cancer last year.
