Ever since Piers’ exit from the ITV programme in March, several presenters have taken his seat for guest stints on the show, including Adil Ray, Alastair Campbell and Richard Bacon. It was recently claimed that Richard is set to sign a £300,000 deal to join the series after his rumoured appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, with the journalist responding to the speculation by stating: ‘I’m doing the show down the line along with other people.’ These other people will include former Labour shadow chancellor Ed and TV judge Rob, who will sit alongside Susanna for appearances from this November. Ed will guest host GMB for three days from Monday November 15 to Wednesday November 17, while Rob will present on Wednesday November 10 and Wednesday December 1. Ed, 54, explained that while he has enjoyed being interviewed on GMB in the past, he believes he will take an even greater liking to helping the morning news programme. I can reassure everyone that won’t be happening again, and that my feet will be kept firmly on the ground…’ Meanwhile, Rob, 43, expressed his belief that his experience in the legal profession will prove useful when help when ‘holding politicians to account’. It’s been claimed that Richard is going to replace Piers Morgan permanently (Picture: ITV) ‘I think being a seasoned barrister will stand me in good stead for hosting Good Morning Britain later this month, demonstrating I’m just as comfortable holding politicians to account as I am judging the week’s TV with Susanna on the Gogglebox sofa,’ he said. ‘Plus, who wouldn’t want the chance to guest present GMB alongside one of their best friends?’ Neil Thompson, editor of GMB, praised the news of Ed and Rob joining the team on the show. ‘We have a great existing roster of presenters on GMB and it’s always exciting to welcome new guest hosts to the show. We look forward to both Ed and Rob joining the team for some dates this month,’ he said. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
