A guy suffering from a heinous skin ailment has described the severe pain he endures as ‘cut glass’ that burns him.
Don, who suffers from psoriasis, claims that his skin is as thick as an elephant’s and that he can scarcely move without it bursting open.
In a promotional film for Dr Pimple Popper, he tearsfully describes the ‘vicious’ repercussions of living with the illness.
The TLC reality show follows cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist Dr Sandra Lee as she helps patients throughout America, and Don is now in need of assistance.
‘My legs look like a dry mud bed,’ he begins.
‘My feet look like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
‘My back looks more like elephant skin.’
Don goes on: ‘I’ve got patches on my arms, and I have psoriasis on my private areas too.
‘This condition is really painful, it’s like your skin is cement.
‘You’re all dry, if you move, it cracks open.
‘It’s like cut glass, burning.’
According to the NHS, psoriasis is ‘a skin condition that causes flaky patches of skin which form scales.’
He tearfully adds: ‘Vicious, vicious way to live. I wouldn’t wish this on my enemy.’
Don has received overwhelming sympathy from viewers after sharing his terrible experience.
One wrote: ‘This is so sad 😞 I really hope he is able to find help and a solution.’
‘Poor thing,’ another said.
This comes after an eight-year-old girl revealed the everyday challenges and agony she has had as a result of her own skin problem.
‘I have this horrible skin condition,’ Wynter says, before revealing it started when she was just six months old.
Her mum then explains: ‘She had a rash that popped up on her inner thigh that was the size of a quarter.
‘It started to spread like all through her legs, and its predominantly now on her arms.’
Wynter’s mum took her to see ‘a few different doctors’ since she was a young age, revealing she has been diagnosed with ‘psoriasis, eczema and scabies’.
‘It’s very itchy,’ Wynter adds.
She says: ‘It’s worse when I wear polyester or wool, it gets better with lotion or when I take showers, because it clears it up.’
Dr Lee has healed a woman with maggots in her toes and a man with 400 tumours across his body this season on Dr Pimple Popper.
Previously, the show followed someone with a “third boob” on their shoulder, a sad grandfather with a “plum sized nose,” and a woman who had a bit of lead trapped in her hand for 45 years.
Dr Pimple Popper airs on TLC in America.
