Doctor Who fans have gone wild after a cryptic teaser aired.
A ten-second clip pertaining to the renowned sci-fi series appeared ahead of tonight’s broadcast of Strictly Come Dancing, leaving many scratching their brains as to what it may signify.
It starts with a Doctor Who logo that is subsequently distorted and disrupted by an orange number code with a sequence of zeroes and ones on screen.
The sequence concludes with the Doctor Who emblem reappearing, and fans have taken to social media to speculate on what it all means.
One account on X formerly known as Twitter, @BadWolfArchives, suggested that the code translates to ‘SATURDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER, BBC ONE, 6:13PM.’
They additionally posted: ‘Fans have figured out another part of the code reads: “Their time has come…”’

Other Whovians responded with similar discoveries, demonstrating that when they entered the numbers into a binary code converter, they got the identical results.
The Strictly theme appears to be interwoven in the soundtrack of the clip, implying that the famed BBC dancing competition may have something to do with the mysterious video.
The official Doctor Who X account also shared an image that has set tongues wagging, posting a picture of a sad wooden clown with the caption: ‘Waiting for a new #DoctorWho adventure be like… ☹️ #WhoSpy.’

David Tennant and Catherine Tate, who played the renowned tenth doctor and his companion, Donna Noble, respectively, will return for the anniversary episodes.
