Last night’s explosive Love Island 2022 launch episode saw eleven new contestants enter the villa in what is shaping up to be the most dramatic series yet.
The singletons will spend the next few weeks grafting, cracking on, and recoupling – all in the name of finding ‘the one’.

Do Love Island contestants get paid?
Yes, the cast of the show do get paid while they’re in the villa – but it’s believed to be quite a small amount.
ITV is yet to confirmed how much each contestant reportedly pockets, but reports in The Sun from last year’s show estimate it to be around £250 a week.
Is a slight increase on 2018, when they were reportedly paid £200 a week. This is supposed to cover rent, bills and other essential costs while they are on the show. But with Slot Gacor Gampang Menang the current cost of living crisis, many might ask if £1,000 per month is enough.
A source told The Sun, ‘If you break it down to how many hours they’re filming every day it’s absolutely nothing!’
That said, the possibilities for post-show earnings are huge, with many of the cast raking in the pennies once they leave the villa thanks to sponsorship deals, social media influencing and other opportunities.
The victorious couple also get £50,000, or £25,000 if they split it evenly.
Reports suggests that Molly-Mae Hague and boyfriend Tommy Fury – who were runners-up in season five – have had one of the most lucrative post-Island careers.
Molly-Mae has is estimated to be worth £4.5million, according to The Sun, while Tommy has a promising boxing career.
