Celebrity Gogglebox star Eddie Boxshall has broken his silence over his split from ex-fiancee and partner of seven years Denise Van Outen in an Instagram post.
The 46-year-old commodities trader had regularly appeared with Denise, 47, on the celebrity Gogglebox spin-off since 2020.
However, the couple reportedly went their separate ways in early January, with reports claiming the former Dancing On Ice star had ended the relationship following cheating rumours.
Appearing to address the reports surrounding the couple’s split, Eddie took to his social media accounts.
He posted a photo of a white banner, with the words ‘Don’t Believe Everything You Read’ written across it.
He added a number of hashtags to the post, which read: ‘#dontbelieveeverythingyouread #newsarticle #chippaper #pressb******t #donttroll #bekind #youdontknowme #youdontknowthetruth’.
Eddie also chose to disable comments on his post.
The post came after Denise announced the split on her own social media accounts, saying she will ‘always treasure the good times’.
In the post, she wrote: ‘It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.
‘I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories we made. We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children’.
A statement from a rep to Heart added: ‘Denise is understandably upset about the news, but she remains optimistic for the future.
‘Her priority is looking after her daughter and continuing to work on the many exciting projects she has coming up this year’.
The couple had been together since 2014, and lived in Essex with Denise’s daughter Betsy, 11, who she shares with her ex Lee Mead.
Eddie also has two children from a former relationship, Jordan, 25 and Leah, 22.
The pair also co-presented a podcast called Before We Say I Do, and had planned to tie the knot later this year.
Following their split, Denise will appear on the next season of Celebrity Gogglebox but without Eddie, according to reports.
