Death In Paradise viewers were screaming at their screens after Catherine Bordey was brutally attacked in a vicious cliffhanger.
We have been blessed with a double bill of the BBC drama, with the first part showing the Honore Police team getting to grips with yet another murder case.
Beloved Saint Marie resident Catherine (Elizabeth Bourgine) found herself in danger when her bond with the latest victim came to light.
As she returned home, she heard a thumping noise, and realised that her window had been broken.
Calling Neville Parker (Ralf Little), she told him that there may be an intruder in the house – with the officer instructing her to get to safety.
It was then that a mysterious figure came up behind her in the reflection.
Neville rushed to the house and managed to scare the attacker off, with an unconscious Catherine rushed to hospital.
The tense episode ended with the Commissioner putting a call into her daughter, Camille (Sara Martins), who told him that she was on her way to the island.
Fans were left breathless by the action, with many flocking to Twitter to share their praise for show bosses.

Thankfully, we don’t have much longer to wait until we get a conclusion to the latest dramatic case in Saint Marie.
