Davina McCall may need to apologise after disclosing Josie Gibson’s infatuation on live air.
Josie, 38, has been frank about her dating life and her difficulty to find time to meet guys given her hectic schedule over the years.
The Big Brother participant previously found love in 2010, when she dated fellow competitor John James Parton.
She later had a relationship with a childhood friend named Terry, with whom she had a four-year-old son named Reggie, but they divorced in 2019.
However, it appears that another man has piqued her interest.
While Josie would have preferred to keep her crush a secret, the entire country now knows who he is.
On Wednesday’s edition of This Morning, Davina was interviewed about the new dating show My Mum, Your Dad, and the subject drifted to some of the participants.
After Davina spoke about how ‘mid-lifers’ are forgotten in many scenarios, she stated there came a moment where many individuals would realise they want to ‘come home to someone’.
‘It is tough out there, I will confirm that,’ Josie shared.
Davina spilled the beans after discussing how the show works.
‘And then there’s Roger, who is the one you quite fancy Josie…’ she said.
Josie began shrieking in surprise as Davina discovered her error.
‘Oh no was I not supposed to say that? Ok sorry about that.’
In an attempt to save her skin, Josie stated that ‘everyone has fallen in love with Roger,’ with co-host Holly Willoughby following up with a tale about meeting him yesterday.
‘I saw him, and his daughter and I had to give them a massive hug,’ she said.
Roger, 58, recounted his tale of losing his wife to cancer just 18 months ago on the most recent edition of the dating programme.
During a first date with Caroline, a single mother, he described how his wife Joanne, 52, fell asleep on the sofa and never awoke.
‘We were on holiday in Italy and I just looked behind her ear, and it was irritating her – just a little spot behind her ear,’ he said.
When he told his wife that she needed to get it checked when they got home, he related how it was discovered to be melanoma, but by then, the disease had gone to her brain.
He then recounted how he had placed her to sleep on a couch one day, but when he returned around half an hour later, she had died.
Caroline, who was reduced to tears by the story, replied: ‘But you wouldn’t have known.’
My Mum, Your Dad is streaming on ITVX. This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
