Dancing on Ice’s Holly Willoughby blasted the judges on Sunday’s show for the low scores awarded to Jason Donovan.

Jason performed a routine inspired by The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert to Don’t Leave Me This Way on the programme.

The dance was awarded just 22 points, with judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo scoring the routine harshly.

Holly took issue with the judges, saying she was ‘genuinely shocked’.

‘I have no idea what you were watching,’ Holly added, congratulating Jason on his performance with professional partner Alexandra Schauman.

Jason was performing during Musicals Week, with all routines inspired by classic shows including the likes of Mary Poppins and Half a Sixpence.

After his performance Jason paid tribute to all the musicals that can’t run as a result of the pandemic.

Elsewhere on the show, Holly hit the mark with her outfit with viewers hailing her dress ‘beautiful’ after she previously received Ofcom complaints.

The third show of the series also saw Faye Brookes continue her strong start to the competition, performing a routine to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins and scoring 29. It comes after she achieved the highest ever week one score last weekend.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
