Following Siva Kaneswaran’s skate in memory of his late bandmate Tom Parker, Dancing On Ice spectators were overcome with emotion.

The semi-finalists performed a personal routine this week in order to advance to the grand finale next Sunday, and the 34-year-old singer – and his professional partner Klabera Komini – sang The Wanted’s single Gold Forever in memory of the late artist, who died from a brain tumour last March.

Tom’s wife Kelsey was in the crowd with Tom’s daughters Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two, and blew kisses to Siva after his performance.

‘He did incredible, and Tom would be very proud of him,’ Kelsey told Holly Willoughby.

Siva battled to keep the tears at bay as he and his partner got 36 points out of 40.

‘Siva’s skating for Tom has killed me off,’ one fan said after hearing the moving song. His greatest skate and a lovely routine.’

‘I’m an emotional wreck after Siva’s performance,’ another added.

‘I’m sorry but Siva should’ve got 10s and I sobbed the whole way through,’ a third person tweeted.

‘It is shocking how little funding goes into researching brain tumours, and I have the passion to campaign for more, because it really infuriates me.

‘If more funding was channelled into that research, Tom would be here. That is why it is so important that we are still talking about him, and that Siva will go on Dancing on Ice tonight to celebrate him.

Kelsey previously stated that she believed it was ‘essential’ to keep Tom’s name in the public spotlight in order to advocate for increased funding for brain tumour research.

She said: ‘I have a platform and I want to use it. Tom would have wanted me to use it too.

After a frightening accident during the first performance, The Vivienne received three 10s from the judges for her emotive dance to Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

It was also a fantastic night for gymnast Nile Wilson, who won the solo skate and the first 40 of the series.

Dancing On Ice returns next Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV1.
