Dancing On Ice stars were forced to escape the studios ‘half-dressed’ only hours before a live event earlier this season, causing havoc.

But, owing to judge Oti Mabuse’s hairdresser accidently setting off the fire alarm, pro Matt Evers has finally revealed what truly happened.

Cast and staff personnel ‘panicked’ soon before a live concert, causing chaos.

‘Oti’s hairdresser accidently set off the fire alarms the other Sunday – an hour before the concert was supposed to start!’ he explained.

‘We were all terrified; many were half-dressed, with hair and make-up.’

‘We found out later it was because Oti’s hair straighteners were smoking,’ Matt, who was teamed with Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor last year, told The Sun. But, as you can see, everything worked out in the end.’

On Sunday, Matt and his partner Patsy Palmer were the fourth pair to wave an emotional farewell to the ice.

The surviving celebs, including The Vivienne, Mollie Gallagher, and Joey Essex, took on new routines from the greatest performers, like Beyonce, Elton John, and Billie Eilish, during Musical Icons week.

The judges, Oti, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean, chose to rescue comedian Darren Harriot and his skating partner Tippy Packard after he and the Bianca Jackson actress, 50, finished in the bottom two.

‘I met the finest people ever, we’ve been like one huge family,’ she told broadcasters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby after learning of her destiny. Matt is incredible.

‘I’ve proved that I can and exceeded what I can do.’

Professional partner Matt reflected on his relationship with the former EastEnders star, saying, ‘When I first met Patsy on the ice, I was thinking, “Whoa this is going to be a tough one,” but I am really happy of what she’s done.’

Meanwhile, due to sickness, The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran was unable to participate for the concert.

Siva has been a fan favourite of the 2023 competition, along with professional partner Klabera Komini, with his most recent performance earning him his best mark of the series thus far.

The 34-year-old, however, was unable to maintain the momentum when he was forced to miss Sunday’s programme due to medical advise from the show’s own medical staff.

On Saturday, a Dancing On Ice spokeswoman broke the news, adding, ‘Due to sickness, Siva will not skate in this weekend’s programme.’

He said: ‘I’m gutted that I won’t be performing this weekend but I picked up a bug earlier in the week which I haven’t been able to shake so I need to rest and get myself better,’ he explained.

‘Good luck to all the contestants this weekend – I’m looking forward to watching everyone’s performances!’

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6:25pm on ITV1.
