It’s January, which for TV fans can mean only one thing – the return of Dancing on Ice!
ITV’s signature figure skating show is returning to our screens tonight, with a new line-up of stars and professional skaters ready to wow us with their impressive routines.
But what can we expect from Dancing on Ice’s 2022 series?
Here’s what you need to know.
What time does Dancing on Ice 2022 start?
Dancing on Ice 2021 kicks off tonight on ITV at 6.30pm.
The first episode will run for 1.5 hours – lasting until 8pm.
Who are the Dancing on Ice 2022 judges?
There’s an exciting new addition to this year’s panel.
Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse will be replacing John Barrowman.
Of the announcement, Oti said: ‘As a professional dancer, I have always had so much respect for the skating professionals on Dancing on Ice. It is an exceptional skill that is also so beautiful to watch.’
Former judge John was on the panel for two years, starting in 2019, but was also a contestant all the way back in 2006.
Elsewhere, the crew of judges remains unchanged: Diversity star Ashley Banjo will return, as will figure skating national treasures Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Who is on Dancing on Ice this year?
Every year, the show manages to recruit a wide range of familiar faces to try their hands (and feet) at this new skill.
And this year is no exception – with stars for Coronation Street, Love Island, S Club 7 and even Olympians taking to the ice.
The 12 celebrity contestants are:
- Love Island’s Liberty Poole
- Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor
