ITV sport’s commentator Sam lends his voice to Dancing On Ice, as he gives viewers an in-depth review of the action.
Sam is an English sports broadcaster currently working for TalkSPORT and ITV Sport.
He’s been commentating on the show since 2018, after taking over from ITV Racing’s betting presenter Matt Chapman.
Where have you heard Sam Matterface’s voice before?
After initially starting his career on the radio, he transitioned into television commentating.
The broadcaster worked on the Sky channel Bravo, featuring in weekly segments on the football magazine show Football Italia between 2006 and 2007.
Sam started presenting on News in July 2007, before leaving in late 2010.
ITV announce he would replace Clive Tyldesley as lead football and England commentator at the start of the 2020-2021 season.
He led ITV’s coverage of Euro 2020 last year and has worked with the channel for the World Cup and the European Championships.
Is Sam Matterface married?
Sam is married to Stef Matterface, with the pair tying the knot in 2018, and have a young son called Herbie, four.
He was previously married to former News colleague Natalie Sawyer, with the pair sharing son Sawyer, who was born in 2010, before they divorced in 2014.
He also has an older daughter named Beth.
