Coleen Rooney sobs as she shares her side of the Wagatha Christie trial in the three-part Disney+ series.

The documentary series will follow Coleen and her husband Wayne through the court action against Rebekah Vardy, telling the story of the renowned Wagatha Christie trial, a libel lawsuit that began in 2019 and completed last summer.

Revekah, 41, lost her lawsuit against Coleen, 37, after the latter accused the former of leaking ‘fake tales’ about her to the press, and it’s all ready to play out on our screens again.

Coleen breaks down in tears at one point in the documentary as her husband expresses his worry about the toll it was taking on her health.

She says, according to The Mirror: ‘He just looked at me and said “Coleen you’re just not you anymore, you just look sick.”

‘It was just constantly on my mind, I couldn’t get away from it.’

She also speaks to her legal team and shares her fears, saying: ‘There’s not a lot I can do unless I back down is there?’

‘We didn’t have the evidence. I was gutted, in a legal battle she would win,’ the mum-of-four adds.

This comes after Disney+ released a first peek at Coleen in the documentary.

Coleen, who is dressed smartly in a black suit and has her golden brown hair half up, is shown in two photos staring into the distance as she sits inside a courtroom with a notepad and pen.

The final photograph shows the Wag in the same dress standing outside the courthouse carrying two handbags, one tiny and one enormous.

Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story will explain how Coleen became an amateur web sleuth in order to figure out why private tales about her and her family kept appearing in the media.

It will investigate the circumstances surrounding her viral social media post in which she claimed to have conducted a months-long sting operation and accused Rebekah of leaking ‘fake tales’ about her private life to the press.

Coleen recently addressed her popular tweet, claiming that she did not scribble it prior on her Notes app and preferred the old-fashioned manner.

She told British Vogue: ‘I like a pen and paper – a pencil and rubber, actually, so I can rub it out. So I started writing what I wanted to say and then the next morning I put it out there. That was the start of something that I would never have expected.’

Coleen also said that no one, not even her husband Wayne or her family, had any idea what she was about to do.

‘[The part] my friends and family were most surprised at me [for was] putting the post up,’ she said.

While it was first speculated that the docuseries would be named Wagatha Christie, the streaming service has had to find a workaround after being unable to utilise the famed word.

‘Wagatha Christie’ refers to ‘WAGs’ (aka the wives and girlfriends of sportsmen) and Coleen being her very own mystery-solving Agatha Christie, but it was actually Rebekah who won rights of the phrase.

So, if the phrase is used commercially, whether it’s printed on a T-shirt, broadcasted, or inscribed on cosmetics, Rebekah will have to offer her consent first and ask for cash if she agrees.

The docuseries’ title has been changed by Disney+ executives, according to a source, and will now be named Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

Sean Doyle, Disney+ director of unscripted content, previously revealed the streamer will have ‘exclusive access’ to Coleen for the documentary, saying that it is ‘ a bit surprising’ for Disney+ to sign up to do a deal with her but it hers is a story ‘people want to hear’.

Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story is coming to Disney Plus.
