Charlotte Crosby in tears as she reveals touching tribute to late grandmother in daughter’s name

Charlotte Crosby made an emotional television appearance, discussing being a first-time mother, her mother’s cancer diagnosis, and the death of her adored grandmother.

The 32-year-old former Geordie Shore actress had daughter Alba with partner Jake Ankers in October of last year.

During her most recent TV appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, the Celebrity Big Brother contestant could be seen hugging the newborn.

The reality TV actress opened up about her life as a mom to host Steph McGovern.

‘I absolutely love it. This is by far the best job I have ever had in my whole entire life. Honestly, there’s no feeling like it,’ she said, also revealing she is thrilled to have a baby that ‘loves to sleep’.

She also mentioned her mother, Letitia Crosby, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo chemotherapy in 2022.

‘She’s finished all of her treatment and she’s doing really, really well,’ Charlotte revealed.

‘She has to get her two jabs still and I think that’s for about five years. We’re just waiting on one more mammogram and if that’s all clear she can ring the bell.’

This prompted Charlotte to reflect about the death of her grandmother, Jean, who died just weeks after Alba was born.

‘I couldn’t even talk about it too much because I’ll start to cry. It was just the hardest thing ever.’

She became teary-eyed when she disclosed Alba’s second name was in honour of her great-grandmother.

Charlotte has published Charlotte In Sunderland, a new documentary series about her life.

The show takes viewers behind the scenes as she grows her beauty and fashion companies, moves in with her boyfriend, discovers she is pregnant, and learns her mother has cancer.

She told Metro.co.uk that Jake was originally nervous about participating on the show.

‘It took a lot of persuading to get Jake to be part of the TV show,’ she said

‘He was so nervous and even after he would film he would worry about it, he would literally be like, “Was that okay? I don’t think this is for me, I’m nervous. I don’t think I came across well”.

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays on Channel 4.
