On Celebrity Race Across The World, Harry Judd falls into tears after an emotional moment with his mother.

The McFly drummer, 37, will appear on the BBC series with ITV weather presenter Alex Beresford, All Saints vocalist Mel Blatt, and racing driver Billy Monger.

The stars travel across Morocco and Norway, stopping in beach communities and remote islands to experience emotional ups and downs with a family member.

In a sneak peek for tomorrow’s episode, Harry can’t stop crying as he reads letters from his small daughters, Lola and Kit, whom he shares with wife Izzy.

Harry opens the letters after more than a week away from his family while embarking on the second leg of the gruelling 10,000km challenge, in which the singer and his mother Emma, as well as their fellow celebrity pairings, are racing to reach a checkpoint in Bonifacio, Corsica.

‘I hope they always call me Daddy,’ as he opens up the adorable polaroid snaps and letters.

As he reads the letters, including his daughter saying she misses him taking her to school, Harry weeps: ‘That’s so sweet! Maybe I wasn’t quite ready for this.’

‌’I think maybe in hindsight reading them after four hours sleep on a night bus probably wasn’t the best idea!’

While reflecting how his outlook has changed since becoming a father, Harry explains: ‘When I was 17 and I left home and just told my parents I was leaving school, leaving home and joining a band, I just didn’t really consider how they felt.

‘Now I have kids, I can understand what sort of impact that must have had on my mum.’

Reflecting on her now-37-year-old son leaving home as a teenager to tour with McFly, Emma adds: ‘I felt a real loss, I as a mother had to step back, and I had to let go.

‘Gosh, being with Harry now, I’m going to see the mature Harry, which I haven’t had the chance to get to know.’

‘It gives you time to reflect on what we’ve got,’ she comforts him.

Speaking about the challenge, Shine A Light singer Harry previously said: ‘I never travelled when I was younger. I travelled with the band, but I never properly did backpacking and I always wanted to.

‘I think the same applies for my mum – she always wanted to but started a family when she was 22.’

Celebrity Race Across the World continues on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
