Celebrity Gogglebox members burst out laughing after learning all about condom sizes from an expert.
The instructional episode, which aired earlier this week on Steph’s Packed Lunch with Steph McGovern, revealed to viewers how to, um, measure their masculinity.
It was all for a good cause, as host Steph highlighted that STIs are on the rise, but that ‘9 out of 10 men are buying and wearing the wrong size’ condom, which is the greatest form of protection against gonorrhoea and syphilis.
However, the section – or should we say “condom masterclass” – was not exactly portrayed as the most basic activity.
The doctor began instructing folks on how to determine the proper condom size for them.
‘There are numerous methods of measurement. ‘One is length,’ he continued, demonstrating with an adult sex toy.
‘You can use a piece of string or a bit of tape, looking from above with an erection, press the string into the base and measure along.’
As instructive as the piece was, it had our celebrities chuckling behind their sofas, with Fearnn Cotton exclaiming, ‘It’s simply too much!’
‘Oh my God, who’s gonna do this?’, asked a bewildered Lucy Beaumont.
‘This is ridiculous!’, Jon Richardson stated.
‘So, you’ve gotta get an erection and then get a little bit of string out?’, a baffled Fearne added.
The expert then went on to discuss the second technique of measuring the girth, which our Goggleboxers dubbed “the worst phrase ever.”
He advised viewers that in order to get the perfect size, they should literally perform some maths, pulling out a calculator to help with the multiplication and only drawing further cackles from the armchair reviewers.
‘No one is gonna do this!’, said Zoe Ball.
Roman Kemp added: ‘Hang on, so I’m standing there with my k**b out, a piece of string, and then a calculator…’, unable to finish his sentence as he burst into laughter at the visual.
‘F**k me, you need a f***ing A-level to get a packet of jonnies!’ said Shaun Ryder, succinctly summarising the situation.
Of course, spectators at home were there for the enjoyment as well.
‘how has buying condoms turned into a year 8 maths question’, one person tweeted.

Not only did viewers at home cringe at the midday TV episode, but broadcaster Zoe left her own kid red-faced.
After finding he had used a condom, the 52-year-old radio personality expressed her delight to Woody, 22.
‘I remember when I found the first condom in your bin and thinking, “He’s a man”,’ she told him.
Woody, Zoe’s dog, who she shares with ex-husband Norman ‘Fatboy Slim’ Cook, appeared scared and quickly fled under a cushion.
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4 and All4.
