The Brit Awards 2022 are about to light up your Tuesday night, with the annual awards show celebrating the very best in British music.
Some of the world’s most famous musicians will be in attendance, with nominees Ed Sheeran and Adele both set to take to the stage to perform their latest hits.
Rising star-winner Holly Humberstone will also be performing as well as Oasis legend Liam Gallagher, Doja Cat, Grime artist Dave, Sam Fender, and Little Simz.
The 2022 Brits have already made history by scrapping gendered categories for the vert first time, with the list featuring the most nominated female artists in a decade.
Actor and comedian Jack Whitehall has presented the annual star-studded event since 2018, but will be handing the baton to fellow comedian Mo Gilligan this year.

Who is Mo Gilligan?
Mo Gilligan is a British stand-up comedian from South London who is best known for being a judge on ITV’s The Masked Singer and The Masked Dancer.
His big break came in 2017, when he was spotted by none other than superstar rapper Drake, who quoted some of Gilligan’s comedy on his Instagram after seeing one of Gilligan’s stand up routines online.
Speaking to The FADER at the time Gilligan said: ‘It’s amazing that someone like Drake, a platinum selling musician, has taken the time out to watch my stuff, let alone quote me in a picture with himself and Giggs for the world to see.’
Gilligan went on to co-host The Big Narstie Show and The Lateish Show on Channel 4, and has since boasted some comedy specials for Netflix.
He has also appeared on the Stand Up To Cancer charity specials of Celebrity Call Centre, Gogglebox, and The Great British Bake Off.
On being hired to host The Brits, Gilligan spoke with ITV about his excitement for the opportunity, saying he was ‘shocked’ by the offer.
‘These are the things I’ve grown up with, so you don’t think that one day you’ll be a part of it. Honestly, it feels like a huge honour’ said the comedian.
‘If I said I wanted to host The Brits at 14, I’m probably lying – because I was mostly interested in playing PlayStation at that time!
‘But it’s important for a young kid like me from my background to know opportunities are out there, to be able to work hard and achieve my dreams.’
How old is Mo Gilligan?
Mo was born on Febraury 19, 1988, making him 33 years old.
He was born In Lambeth to British parents of Jamaican and St. Lucian descent. Gilligan grew up in Camberwell and attended a performing arts school in Pimlico.
Does Mo Gilligan have a girlfriend?
Mo has been dating former Hollyoaks actress Sophie Wise since 2018.
Sophie appeared in Hollyoaks in 2015 as Carly, a character who was under witness protection.
She has also appeared in the BBC drama Doctors and Rillington Place.
The couple recently moved in together after Mo bought a property in North London.
