Boy George and Matt Hancock tension will erupt into full blown I’m A Celebrity feud warns friend

Boy George’s friend has warned there will be trouble ahead between the Karma Chameleon singer and Matt Hancock in upcoming I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! scenes.

The Culture Club star was left feeling uncomfortable after the sitting MP entered the jungle last week and became tearful as he admitted he considered quitting over the controversial new arrival.

More recently, Boy George delighted in telling Hancock that he’s ‘never voted Tory’ during the first eating trial of the series, to which Hancock responded: ‘That’s not news George.’

But close pal David Hodge reckons there’s more drama to come between the pair, especially now the politician has been voted camp leader.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, Hodge warned that Boy George is ‘just warming up’.

‘There will be friction,’ he said. ‘There are two things that George doesn’t particularly like and that’s bigots and Tories and there will be a clash.’

Boy George didn’t seem particularly pleased in scenes that aired on Sunday after learning that there would soon be a group leader.

‘I’m not anti-Matt, but I’d rather no having him ruling me,’ he declared.

Later voicing his opinions in the Bush Telegraph, he added: ‘If Matt was to become camp leader and I feel he’s doing something I don’t agree with, I won’t do it.’

When it was later learned that Hancock had won the election race, Boy George appeared frustrated.

‘He’s loving this!’ he quipped to co-star Chris Moyles. Is a mutiny on the horizon?

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
